Abstract

We present Fion Theory, a unified and falsifiable framework in which spacetime, matter, cosmological dynamics, and conscious access emerge from a minimal informational substrate. The fundamental constituent of this substrate is the fion, defined operationally as a logical qubit encoded in the perfect [[5, 1, 3]] stabilizer code. Within this construction, geometry, mass hierarchies, dark sectors, and cognitive phase transitions arise as emergent phenomena governed by informational correlations rather than predefined metric structure. We show that mutual-information–based distance reconstruction from multi-qubit states leads robustly to an emergent hyperbolic AdS_2-like geometry, empirically favored over Euclidean alternatives by information criteria and equivalence testing. Matter fields are generated as topological defects (Jackiw–Rebbi modes) on this informational background, naturally reproducing logarithmic mass hierarchies. Cosmological acceleration and dark-sector phenomenology follow from horizon decoherence and information transfer, yielding quantitative agreement with large-scale structure data, including suppression of growth consistent with DESI observations, without invoking fine-tuned parameters. At the neurophysiological level, conscious access is modeled as a critical phase transition in coherent informational networks (“Self-Nodes”), with explicit predictions for critical slowing-down, phase diversity, and energy contrasts on both biological (EEG/MEG) and NISQ quantum platforms. A five-loop validation protocol (L1–L5) is introduced to control geometric consistency, spectral gaps, scaling laws, thermodynamic irreversibility, and falsifiability. The framework integrates quantum information theory, geometry, cosmology, and cognitive dynamics into a single informational ontology, offering a minimal set of assumptions, conservative Bayesian support, and a clear experimental roadmap. Regardless of ultimate validation, Fion Theory provides a concrete and testable candidate for treating spacetime and consciousness as manifestations of underlying informational structure.
