Scoping review protocol: Factors influencing pain catastrophizing in rheumatoid arthritis patients"

This scoping review will systematically map the literature on biological, psychological, social, and clinical factors associated with pain catastrophizing in adults with rheumatoid arthritis. Following JBI and PRISMA-ScR guidelines, we will search nine databases without language or design limits, extract data on study characteristics and associations, and synthesize findings into a multi-level evidence map. Expected outputs are a taxonomy of determinants, identification of research gaps, and recommendations for targeted interventions. The protocol and datasets will be openly shared on OSF.
