Abstract

Pre-registered analysis testing whether daily geomagnetic activity (planetary Kp index) modulates the volume and witness-evidence class of reported Bigfoot encounters in the BFRO public archive (1950–2024). The dataset merges 4,084 in-window geocoded BFRO reports with the GFZ Potsdam definitive Kp record across a 27,394-day analysis window (1950-01-01 through 2024-12-31). The full GFZ Kp record (1932–2026) spans 34,459 days, of which 27,394 fall within the analysis window. Key findings: Quiet geomagnetic days carry 51.6% more reports than Disturbed days (IRR 1.516, p < 10⁻⁹), with a +5.06 pp single-step jump in Class A share at the Quiet→Unsettled boundary (p = 0.007). This project contains the published paper and the full reproducibility bundle. The HC-A roster used in hypothesis H4 is documented by cryptographic commitment and available to qualified reviewers under NDA — see the Wiki tab for details.
