Replication of Cameron et al. (2019), Study 1: Empathy Avoidance

This project aims to conduct a preregistered replication of Study 1 from Cameron et al. (2019), which investigated empathy avoidance in social decision-making. Specifically, the study examines whether participants prefer to avoid empathic engagement when given a choice. The study will be conducted using an online sample and transparent open science practices, including preregistration and the sharing of anonymized data.
