WHEN TRUTH IS UNDER FIRE: A Forensic Deconstruction of Power, Propaganda, and the War for Reality
Abstract
This project presents a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of how truth functions under sustained pressure from political power, institutional incentives, religious authority, and information saturation. Rather than treating misinformation as a problem of ignorance, the work examines distortion as a structural and ethical phenomenon—one that persists even when facts are widely known. Drawing from political theory, moral philosophy, religious ethics, media studies, and social theory, the study analyzes how accountability is deferred, how memory carries unresolved truth, and how societies normalize ethical erosion without overt crisis. The project emphasizes responsibility under uncertainty, moral imagination, and the conditions required for truth to meaningfully constrain power.
