The effect of rule learning on memory for decisions
Abstract
Previous research has identified limitations on memory for decisions made before learning a piece of evidence (Wood 1978; Gopnik and Astington 1988; Chew, Huang, and Zhao 2020; Blank, Fischer, and Erdfelder 2003; Calvillo and Rutchick 2014; Powell 1988). Here we ask whether similar effects can be observed for decisions made minutes ago.
