Exploring the Impact of Longitudinal Nursing Placements to Strengthen Nursing Students' Transition to Practice: A Scoping Review Protocol

The purpose of this scoping review is to explore the core elements related to longitudinal nursing student placements that support transition to practice. We aim to identify and synthesize the existing knowledge and generate key themes to gain an in-depth understanding of the factors relevant to nursing student placements that promote their transition and readiness to nursing practice. The findings of this scoping review will inform the development and implementation of longitudinal nursing placements within undergraduate nursing education programs, and in turn, support graduating nursing students' transition to nursing practice.
