Clinical Impact of Distal Embolization in Endovascular Thrombectomy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the clinical impact of distal embolization during mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke. The primary objective is to quantify the association between distal embolization and clinical outcomes, including 90-day functional independence (mRS 0–2), 90-day mortality, symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH), successful reperfusion (mTICI 2b/3), and early neurological deterioration (NIHSS change)
