FRIEND: Finding Relational Insight and Empathy through Dialogue
Abstract
Umbrella OSF project for FRIEND — Finding Relational Insight and Empathy through Dialogue — an open-science research programme on dyadic belonging, peer mentoring, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in zero-history stranger dyads and higher-education settings. Anchored by the FRIEND feasibility randomised controlled trial (UEL/2026/AGAF; AsPredicted #265934), which compared an NVC primer against a duration-matched mindfulness body-scan control across 15 dyads using a modified 14-minute Fast Friends Procedure. Houses the full research lifecycle in twelve numbered components: pre-registration, manuscripts and preprints, materials, measures, analysis code, qualitative coding, analytical decisions, supplementary materials, knowledge exchange, quantitative data, the retired NSI archive, and the publications and dissemination hub. Maintained as a single open-science programme under CC BY 4.0.
