Can sleep monitoring help inform about fluctuations in ball kicking outputs? A systematic review
Abstract
The present protocol aims to set the methods for a systematic synthesis of literature studies that have evaluated the potential link among sleep and ball kicking movement across football codes. The following question will be addressed in the present systematic review: Among able-bodied male and female football code athletes, what is known regarding the direct evidence (studies statistically examining the association) and indirect evidence (studies collecting both without formally analysing their relationship) of sleep-related impact on ball kicking performance metrics?
