Synergistic Dopaminergic Upregulation via Bromantane and L-Tyrosine Co-Supplementation
Abstract
This preregistration establishes intellectual priority for a novel hypothesis proposed by Holland Peil regarding the synergistic interaction between Bromantane and exogenous L-Tyrosine supplementation in the context of dopaminergic cognitive enhancement. Bromantane is documented to upregulate tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) — the rate-limiting enzyme converting L-Tyrosine to dopamine. L-Tyrosine is the direct amino acid precursor to dopamine. This preregistration formally proposes that co-administration of these two compounds may produce supraadditive dopaminergic upregulation by simultaneously increasing enzymatic conversion capacity and available substrate — a substrate-enzyme co-optimization framework not previously characterized in Western peer-reviewed literature. The document includes the primary hypothesis, three tiered sub-hypotheses, five research questions, proposed mechanistic framework, Stage 1 methodology, and future research directions. Keywords: Bromantane, L-Tyrosine, tyrosine hydroxylase, dopamine biosynthesis, cognitive enhancement, nootropics, dopaminergic upregulation, substrate-enzyme optimization, actoprotector
