Emotional Framing and Climate Action
Abstract
This study examines the effects of emotional message framing (hope vs. fear) on climate-related engagement intentions and actual clicking behavior. Additionally, the moderating role of climate self-efficacy is tested. Participants are randomly assigned to either a hope-framed, fear-framed or neutral message condition. The primary outcomes are sharing intentions and binary clicking behavior (0 = no click, 1 = click).
