The prevalence of malnutrition among older adults living in residential facilities: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Aim: We aimed to do a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies describing the prevalence of malnutrition among the elderly population living in residential facilities. Subject and Methods: Articles were systematically searched in PubMed, Embase (Ovid), EBSCO, Web of Science Core Collection from the time of database establishment to July 2025. Outcome data regarding the incidence of malnutrition and some subgroup data were extracted and pooled from selected studies.
