Abstract

This process evaluation investigates how youth affiliated with Forandringsfabrikken (“Proffer”) present synthesized knowledge from children and young people, and advocate for children’s rights (UN CRC Articles 3, 12, and 16), in meetings with students, professionals, leaders, and policymakers. The project aims to identify experiences of usefulness (and lack of usefulness) and to generate practical recommendations for how such knowledge-sharing and dialogue formats should be designed to work well for all parties involved. The study combines (1) analysis and synthesis of previously collected, anonymized materials from 2020–2025 (youth, professionals/students, leaders, policymakers) and (2) follow-up qualitative data collection during spring 2026, including interviews with selected youth, professionals/students, and policymakers, and observations of a selection of presentations/dialogues and team-building activities (weekend gatherings and a summer camp). The planned output is a report summarizing findings and recommendations for future practice in Norway and as inspiration internationally.
