Abstract

Many existing studies, both qualitative and quantitative, have conducted research on the needs of various marginalized communities and gaps that exist to inform future interventions that can benefit the population of interest. Due to the increasing rate of STBBIs among youth and the disproportionate impact on marginalized communities, such as ACB communities, this scoping review attempts to compile studies in which interventions have been administered (not just recommended) to empower immigrant youth in terms of their sexual health. This scoping review aims to address the following research question: What interventions have been implemented to promote sexual empowerment among immigrant youth? Searches across five databases (PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, Embase, and Global Health) have been completed. Expected outcomes: Unique implementation strategies, incorporating modern advancements (e.g. utilizing media) in addition to traditional intervention methods, like workshops.
