CAVORA – Limit Cycle–Based Modeling for Adaptive Cave Passage Safety and Karst System Dynamics
Abstract
CAVORA is a research-oriented project dedicated to the study of Mediterranean karst systems through non-linear dynamical modeling. The project investigates how cave passages evolve under coupled hydrological, structural, and sedimentary processes, using limit cycle dynamics as a unifying framework. Its objectives include developing predictive safety protocols for cave exploration, integrating real-time field data with mathematical models, and providing decision-support tools for survey teams operating in unstable or high-risk underground environments.
