Mechanistic Rationale and Research Priorities for Periodontal Management in Patients with Periodontitis Receiving Antibody-Based and Molecularly Targeted Anticancer Therapies: A Scoping Review

This scoping review aimed to systematically map the available evidence on periodontal management in patients with periodontitis receiving modern systemic anticancer therapies across all major drug classes, to identify those classes with the most substantial evidence gaps warranting focused investigation, and, based on the identified gaps, to propose potential mechanistic pathways through which these drug classes may interact with periodontal tissues, thereby informing future research directions.
