Mapping the Evidence on Age-Friendly Cities and Communities in Southeast Asia: A Scoping Review
Abstract
This scoping review aims to map the extent, nature, and characteristics of published empirical research on age-friendly cities and communities (AFCC) in Southeast Asia (SEA). Guided by the World Health Organisation’s AFCC framework, the review will examine the geographical distribution of studies, the methodological approaches employed, and the AFCC domains most frequently investigated. It will also identify gaps in the existing literature to inform future research, policy development, and implementation of age-friendly initiatives in the region.
