Abstract

Introduction: The rise in sports participation among adolescents has led to an increased incidence of injuries (35 per 100 youths annually), emerging as a significant public health challenge. There is substantial heterogeneity across preventive interventions, which complicates the identification of effective strategies. Objective: To describe the evidence regarding the impact of public health campaigns on the prevention of sports injuries in adolescents, exploring their approaches, contexts, and outcomes. Methodology: A scoping review will be conducted following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The search will encompass PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Bireme. Original studies, reviews, and technical documents concerning public health campaigns aimed at sports injury prevention in the adolescent population will be included. Expected Results: The study expects to identify predominant approaches, evaluate reported effectiveness, and highlight knowledge gaps to guide future interventions and public health policies. Keywords: Adolescents; Sports Injuries; Prevention; Public Health; Scoping Review.
