Comprehensive Educational Model for Healthy Relationships
Abstract
This working paper presents a Comprehensive Educational Model for Healthy Relationships, proposing relationship education as a structured and essential component of formal learning systems. The model integrates critical and multidimensional thinking, Bloom’s taxonomy, and reflective practices into a coherent interdisciplinary framework addressing cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions of human relationships. Rather than treating relationships as purely emotional or intuitive phenomena, the paper conceptualizes them as domains of conscious choice, cognitive skill development, and ethical responsibility. The proposed curriculum spans three developmental stages—pre-relationship preparation, relationship maintenance, and post-relationship recovery—and emphasizes observer skills, emotional intelligence, and critical reflection as key mechanisms for preventing destructive relational patterns. The model is informed by interdisciplinary theory and preliminary practice-based observations from educational and psychological contexts. While some components, such as reflective and observer-based practices, remain exploratory and require further empirical validation, the paper’s primary contribution lies in its conceptual integration and pedagogical structure. This preprint is shared to invite scholarly dialogue, interdisciplinary critique, and future empirical research on relationship education as a foundation for individual well-being and social sustainability.
