Abstract

Stroke is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Brazil and worldwide, responsible for high rates of physical, cognitive, and functional disabilities that significantly impact the quality of life of affected individuals. In the post-stroke period, most patients present sequelae that require continuous care and rehabilitation, making Primary Health Care, through the Family Health Strategy, a fundamental setting for longitudinal follow-up and care coordination. In this context, nursing plays a central role in promoting rehabilitation, preventing complications, and supporting patients and their families. Considering comfort as an essential element of care, grounded in Kolcaba’s Comfort Theory, this study aims to map the available scientific evidence on nursing care for post-stroke patients within the Family Health Strategy, in light of this theoretical framework. This is a scoping review conducted according to the methodological recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute. The research question was developed using the Population, Concept, and Context framework. Searches will be carried out in the MEDLINE/PubMed, Embase, LILACS, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and SciELO databases, as well as in grey literature sources. Studies will be included without restrictions regarding language, publication period, or methodological design, provided they are available in full text and address nursing care grounded in Comfort Theory for post-stroke patients in Primary Health Care. Study selection will be performed by independent reviewers using the Rayyan software and reported according to the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The synthesis of findings will be structured based on the PAGER framework, allowing the identification of patterns, gaps, and implications for practice and research. The results are expected to support the improvement of nursing care, contributing to more humanized, integrated, and comfort-oriented practices in the follow-up of post-stroke patients within the Family Health Strategy.
