Abstract

The aim of the study is to conduct a randomised controlled trial (RCT) via an anonymous online survey to compare the effects of promotional videos containing messages promoting mental health service utilisation versus messages promoting bowel cancer screening among older men (i.e., males aged 65 years and older) in metropolitan (i.e., city) and non-metropolitan areas (i.e., rural, remote, regional areas) on intention to participate in mental health service utilisation over time. Data from this study will aid understanding of how promotional videos can used to target men living in metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas and encourage them to seek support for their mental health.
