Abstract

This study aims to extend current research on gambling cue reactivity by investigating how online gambling cues affect behavioural control and memory for reward cues. It will examine whether participants exhibit impaired behavioural control in response to gambling-related cues relative to neutral cues during a cued Go/No-Go task and whether they demonstrate memory biases for these cues in a recognition memory test. Regression analyses will assess whether individual differences in impulsivity and problem gambling severity predict the magnitude of cue-driven behavioural and memory biases, and whether individuals high in both traits show the strongest effects.
