The Effect of Sleep Patterns and Social Media Use Intensity on Anxiety Among Generation Z
Abstract
This study examines the effect of sleep patterns and social media use intensity on anxiety levels among Generation Z. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 100 respondents aged 17–25 years through online questionnaires. The instruments included the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Social Media Use Intensity Scale, and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The results indicate that both sleep patterns and social media use intensity have a significant effect on anxiety levels. These findings highlight the importance of healthy sleep habits and balanced social media use in maintaining mental health among young people.
