Abstract

This scoping review aims to consolidate existing knowledge on how community partnerships support the development and implementation of local tobacco control policies, and to identify the factors that influence the success of these efforts. To achieve this research aim, to the review will synthesise existing evidence on using community partnerships to achieve the enactment of tobacco control efforts, including e-cigarettes or vapes, in local (e.g. city, county, and municipality) contexts. In addition, the review will consider whether these studies were successful in achieving expected goals (e.g. reducing prevalence rate, increasing successful quit attempts, and reducing tobacco sales density) and lastly, will investigate the factors that influence the success of these efforts.
