In-Situ HB-11 Fuel Separation On-Site Boron-10 Removal via Off-Axis Laser Channels and Multi-Layered Fuel Architecture
Abstract
This study conceptually demonstrates how the isotopic purity required for HB-11 fusion can be achieved within the fusion target itself, without external enrichment methods. The core claim of this approach is that separation is not a pre-processing step but a natural phase of the fusion architecture. The fuel is subjected to a transient physics regime driven by lasers, in which the differences between Boron-10 and Boron-11 manifest not through mass but via threshold behaviors, timing, and irreversible transport. Therefore, the presented architecture is fundamentally different from classical isotope separation techniques and not only functions but also allows the mechanisms behind its operation to be directly observed.
