ChatGPT Student Survey_Ukrainian Student Subsample
Abstract
Building on the early students' perceptions of ChatGPT after the first year of introduction, a comprehensive global survey was repeated between October 2024 and February 2025. The survey targeted higher education students who are currently enrolled at any level in a higher education institution, are at least 18 years old, and have the legal capacity to provide free and voluntary consent to participate in an anonymous survey. This dataset (ua_cleaned_subset) is a derived subset of the public “Global ChatGPT Student Survey” dataset hosted on Mendeley Data (https://doi.org/10.17632/nv2343nwsb.1; accessed on 08.01.2026). How the subset was created 1) Item selection. We retained only the variables used in the present paper demographics (gender, education level, age, institution) and the survey items used to construct the Opportunity Index (Q31a–Q31h) and Threat Index (Q30f–Q30h), as well as items used for hypothesis testing (Q12, Q20, Q27, Q32, Q33, Q43, Q46). 2) Country filter. We retained only responses from Ukrainian respondents, defined by [FIELD NAME] == “Ukraine” in the raw dataset. 3) Missing data handling. We applied complete-case analysis (listwise deletion) for the focal items any record with missing values in the selected variables was removed. 4) Manual cleaning. Two authors independently performed the screening in spreadsheet software using the same prespecified rules and cross-checked the resulting file; discrepancies were reconciled. Final analytical subset N = 354 complete cases.
