An Overview of Fear of Missing Out in Music Festival Participation among Early Adults
Abstract
This study explores the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) among early adults in the context of music festival participation. Using a quantitative approach under the positivist paradigm, the research aims to objectively measure and describe the level of FOMO experienced by individuals. Data are collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to participants selected via purposive sampling. The analysis includes validity and reliability testing using JASP software, followed by descriptive analysis to identify the tendency of FOMO levels, whether high or low among early adults. The study seeks to enhance understanding of how emotional and social dynamics influence individuals’ engagement with social and cultural events.
