Abstract

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare offers transformative potential for Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). However, significant concerns remain regarding the ethical implications and structural inequities across the AI life cycle—from data procurement and algorithmic design to implementation and monitoring. While various ethical guidelines exist, their applicability and practical implementation within the context of Global Health and resource-limited settings are not well-defined. This scoping review aims to map the existing literature and regulatory frameworks to identify gaps in ethical governance and promote health equity within the AI value chain for LMICs.
