Quantum Tunneling as a Dimensional Leap: A 4D+1 Framework Linking Time Curvature, Retrocausality, and the Block Universe
Abstract
This paper develops a theoretical framework in which Quantum Macro Tunneling (QMT) is reinterpreted as transient motion along a Fourth Spatial Dimension . By extending the Schrödinger equation to four spatial coordinates and introducing a corresponding 5D spacetime metric, the model shows how brief excursions into naturally yield (i) effective barrier‐bypassing trajectories, (ii) minute but well-defined temporal curvature, and (iii) projection effects that manifest as apparent retrocausality in 3D+1 observation. Order-of-magnitude estimates demonstrate that the predicted time-curvature signatures, while negligible per quantum element, can accumulate to potentially measurable attosecond-scale deviations in coherent macroscopic systems. The framework offers a unified geometric interpretation linking QMT, time curvature, and retrocausality, and supplies an operational pathway that aligns with the Block Universe picture by providing a mechanism for connections between coexisting temporal slices. While exploratory, the model is mathematically consistent, empirically motivated, and identifies testable consequences that may guide future theoretical development and ultrafast experimental investigation
