Voicebot novelty
Abstract
We examine whether users are more willing to engage with a voicebot that communicates with a non-standard accent compared to a voicebot that communicates with a standard American accent. Specifically, we test an Indian-accented voicebot versus an American-accented voicebot. We additionally measure perceived novelty and use it as a covariate in our analyses.
