Abstract

This study is a systematic review and Meta-analysis aiming to systematically integrate published literature on coinfection between Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) and other pathogens globally, especially in northern, eastern, and central-southern China. Qualified studies will be screened by searching Chinese and English databases, and core data, including infection rate, heterogeneity indicators, time trends, and pathogen combinations, will be extracted. Appropriate statistical models will be used to analyze the pooled incidence, inter-regional differences, and temporal evolution (2010-2025) of PEDV coinfection, and explore the impact of factors such as geographical environment and breeding mode on infection heterogeneity. The study will provide evidence-based medical basis for regionally precise prevention and control of PEDV coinfection, clinical multi-pathogen combined detection, and optimization of prevention and control strategies, while ensuring the reproducibility of the research process and data openness.
