Supporting Caregivers of Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Through Non-Pharmacological Interventions: A Scoping Review
Abstract
This project aims to conduct a scoping review of non-pharmacological interventions designed to support informal caregivers of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The review seeks to systematically map the available evidence, describe the types of interventions implemented, and summarize reported outcomes related to caregiver burden, psychological well-being, and quality of life, as well as to identify gaps in the existing literature. The review will be conducted following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodological framework and reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, with the aim of informing nephrology nursing practice and guiding future research.
