Abstract

Continuous nursing education is essential for supporting both student and professional nurses as they navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment. Nurses must manage diverse learner backgrounds, rapidly expanding scientific knowledge, daily clinical demands, and continuous advancements in health technologies. To address these challenges, nursing education commonly relies on two instructional approaches: Lecture‑Based Learning (LBL) and Case‑Based Learning (CBL). In this scoping review, we aim to examine and compare these two educational approaches in terms of their impact on knowledge acquisition, problem‑solving abilities, and self‑efficacy within nursing education. This comparison will help clarify the strengths and limitations of each method and identify evidence‑based strategies that best support nursing learners.
