The Informational Nature of Constant π: Vacuum Computational Bandwidth Limi
Abstract
The speed of light π, long postulated as an unexplained fundamental constant with the precise experimental value π = 299, 792, 458 m/s, emerges naturally as the maximum computational bandwidth of vacuum when treated as a distributed quantum information processing network. Through a novel thought experiment conceptualizing vacuum as a substrate with finite bit-density (π0), node connectivity (πΌ = 1/137), and thermodynamic processing costs (ππ΅ππ ln 2), we derive the exact CODATA value from first principles.
