Abstract

This project is a scoping review aimed at exploring the available evidence on the preoperative use of levosimendan as a preconditioning strategy in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The review seeks to organize existing information regarding timing of initiation, dosing regimens, clinical outcomes, and safety profile, as well as to identify knowledge gaps that may inform future research in cardiac surgery and critical care.
