A Phenomenological Formula for the Cosmological Constant from Fundamental Constants
Abstract
This project presents a phenomenological formula that expresses the cosmological constant \Lambda solely in terms of fundamental physical constants: Newton's gravitational constant G, the reduced Planck constant \hbar, the speed of light c, the Fermi coupling constant G_F, the W boson Compton wavelength, the fine structure constant \alpha, and the Riemann zeta function \zeta(2). Using the most recent CODATA 2022 and PDG 2024 recommended values, the formula yields \Lambda = 1.148 \times 10^{-52} \, \text{m}^{-2}, in excellent agreement with DESI 2024 and TRGB measurements (relative difference
