Abstract

This scoping review aims to map the existing literature on VR-RT involving PwCI and their caregivers. The review is guided by the following questions: • How are caregivers involved in VR-RT interventions for people with cognitive impairment? o Specifically, how are caregiver roles described and operationalized (e.g., observer, facilitator, active participant)? • What outcomes and experiences are reported for PwCI and their caregivers in studies of VR-RT? o This includes quantitative and qualitative findings related to emotional, cognitive, behavioral, quality-of-life, and implementation-related outcomes for PwCI, as well as caregiver outcomes such as burden, stress, self-efficacy, satisfaction, and experiential or relational themes.
