Abstract

Background: Emerging evidence suggests disparities in pancreatitis incidence and outcomes associated with factors such as socioeconomic status, ethnicity, rurality, and gender. However, no scoping review has yet systematically mapped which social determinants of health, conceptualised using an established equity framework, have been examined in relation to pancreatitis incidence, prevalence, and clinical outcomes. Objective: This scoping review aims to map the available evidence on which social determinants of health, categorised using the PROGRESS-Plus framework, have been examined in relation to pancreatitis incidence, prevalence, and clinical outcomes.
