Abstract

This scoping review will map the wide range of IPV interventions, particularly those implemented in community settings. Most research to date has focused on addressing IPV at the individual and interpersonal levels, primarily through clinical interventions to improve provider screening rates and reduce barriers to care. By specifically targeting community-based IPV interventions, this review addresses a critical gap in current research that has focused on clinical settings and enables a more nuanced understanding of how IPV interventions function outside traditional healthcare settings. Mapping the evidence on community-based interventions also provides a road map for future research, particularly in underexplored areas such as perinatal IPV. Collectively, this scoping review will be the first of its kind, helping to establish what has been done, identify what is effective, and pinpoint areas that need further exploration.
