Aquablation vs. holmium laser enucleation of the prostate in the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: a systematic review
Abstract
We plan to conduct a systematic review to provide an assessment of aquablation and holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, offering valuable insights for both practitioners and patients. We aim to answer the following question: In adult patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, are WJAT (water jet ablation therapy) and HoLEP clinically different in terms of sexual function preservation and urinary function improvement? Expected outcomes: Greater International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) improvement in WJAT Better sexual function and urinary function preservation in aquablation vs. HoLEP AE (adverse event) rates are comparable or even greater in HoLEP
