Dirac Theory and OS-Model Entropy: A Structural Comparison
Abstract
The Dirac equation provides the most complete relativistic description of spin-$\tfrac{1}{2}$ fields, yet it contains no explicit mechanism for observation, projection, information loss, or entropy generation. The OS-model, by contrast, begins with an internal multi-layer observational architecture and derives entropy from the non-injective projection $\Pi : \mathbb{R}^8 \to \mathbb{R}^2$. This paper performs a structural comparison between the Dirac formalism and the OS-model entropy equation. We show that lifting the Dirac spinor into the OS-model collapses the Dirac degrees of freedom into the OS observational structure, implying that the Dirac equation is a projection of a more general informational dynamics. This comparison serves as a decisive structural test: if the OS-entropy fails, the OS-model must be revised; if the Dirac structure fails, the Dirac equation becomes a special-case approximation. Either outcome eliminates the need for a unified ``final chapter,'' making this comparison the essential adjudicative step.
