Abstract

We examine how the Taiwanese people respond to empty threats from the U.S. in the context of the Russo-Ukraine War. We expect that U.S. inconsistency will erode Taiwanese support for 1) the domestic leader who advocates cooperation with the U.S., and 2) specific policy cooperation with the U.S.
