Helical_Genetic_Polymers_Aqueous_Constrains
Abstract
This project presents a theoretical investigation into the physicochemical constraints governing the geometry of genetic information–bearing polymers. Focusing on aqueous environments, it develops a constraint-based framework showing that helical conformations of nucleic-acid-like polymers arise as a necessary consequence of solvent properties, electrostatics, and thermal stability rather than as a contingent biological outcome. The analysis derives exclusionary predictions for viable genetic architectures in water and discusses how these constraints may be relaxed in non-aqueous solvents, with implications for astrobiology and the search for extraterrestrial life.
