Abstract

This study investigates the impact of hormonal versus non-hormonal contraception on sexuality in couples over the course of one year. The aim is to examine whether women using hormonal contraception and their male partners show different trajectories of 1) sexual activity and 2) sexual satisfaction across one year compared to women using non-hormonal contraception and their male partners. It is expected that women using HC and their male partners will show different trajectories in both sexual activity and sexual satisfaction compared to women using NHC and their male partners. To test these hypotheses, a dyadic multigroup growth curve model (DGCM) will be estimated.
