Association between fibroids and pregnancy outcomes in Assisted Reproductive Technology: an overview of reviews and meta-analysis.
Abstract
This overview of systematic reviews with meta-analysis aims to comprehensively synthesize and critically appraise the existing evidence on the association between fibroids and pregnancy outcomes in ART cycles. By evaluating methodological quality, degree of overlap between reviews, risk of bias, and certainty of evidence, this study seeks to clarify the magnitude and direction of reported associations. When feasible, pooled effect estimates will be recalculated to provide more robust quantitative summaries. The findings are expected to inform clinical counseling, refine decision-making regarding myomectomy prior to ART, and identify key gaps for future research. Ultimately, this work intends to enhance evidence-based reproductive care and optimize pregnancy outcomes in women with fibroids undergoing ART.
