A Network Neuroscience Perspective on Exceptional Cognitive Abilities

The main question of this PhD project is: How do brain networks differ between human individuals with exceptional cognitive ability, i.e. giftedness and high-functioning autism, and individuals with average cognitive ability? The PhD project hence aims at understanding the link between brain connectivity and exceptional cognitive ability. The results of this project will inform the concept of “neurodiversity” and clarify its appropriate use in the clinical, educational and general psychological context.
