Abstract

This work extends prior analysis of elevated human metabolic baselines by documenting a stable, low-noise physiological state reachable through breath regulation alone. In this state, ventilation decreases, autonomic tone shifts toward parasympathetic dominance, and cognitive and perceptual noise are reduced without loss of alertness. The paper further examines how meditation, when practiced on top of this baseline, acts as an enhancement layer that quiets neural activity and reinforces stability rather than initiating coherence. Observations are presented as a single-subject case and are intended to clarify mechanisms rather than advance broader interpretive claims.
