Peer review process and quality in biomedical literature: An umbrella review
Abstract
The massive number of retractions in recent years has raised questions about the quality of peer review in biomedical research. There is a need to evaluate the evidence concerning the structure and conduct of the peer review process. This umbrella review will synthesize the findings of published systematic reviews concerning peer review.
