The role of external beam radiotherapy in the management of medullary carcinoma of the thyroid: an updated systematic review

This systematic review addresses the effectiveness of external beam radiotherapy to the thyroid bed and neck in preventing locoregional recurrence in patients with resected or unresectable locally advanced medullary carcinoma of the thyroid, and to determine its effects on overall survival, changes in serum calcitonin and early and late morbidity. Previously published in 2019, this updated systematic review will include studies published since 2018.
